RELATIONSHIPS: Dimitri is desperately in love with his best friend Dedue, and also desperately trying to ignore the fact. He's also thick as a brick about registering flirting, and himself presents a combination of sincerity and effusiveness that he hasn't realized sounds romantic to most people. He is also, fundamentally, a lonely, awkward teenage boy, and will react to affection like an anxious rescue golden retriever. AURAL: He's got a pleasantly deep voice with a hard-to-place accent -- something like a Welsh lilt, but with clipped consonants more reminiscent of Russian.
OLFACTORY: Teenage boy smell, because he is in fact a teenage boy, but nothing notable.
DEMEANOUR: Stiff, polite, and somber. He rarely smiles, and when he does, it's forced. Characters with a military background might assume he shares one, and that's more or less correct. The stone's cracked, though: get him talking about something he loves, and he'll light up, eager and enthusiastic ... touch a nerve, and you may glimpse a violent reaction rapidly crushed.
