I cant confirm its the same. But Ive seen something similar in my world.
We know at least two others have been replaced. At least one person has been killed.

He's trying to think of who else might stand a chance against SecUnit. Bastion, perhaps. Skulduggery. Jade. None of them if they can't avoid being shot.

I canot prove that I am unaffected. So you need not answer. But would your geas of hospitality apply to these impotsers? Would it prvent you from defending yourself, or calling for aid if attacked?
Is there anyone else you can trust to protect you?

I've never had this precise circumstance happen to me before. But I dare say that entering my home under false pretenses is hardly the actions of a good guest.
I've got someone with me- Erin Peters, do you know her? As far as I'm aware she's fine, and she certainly would've had ample opportunity to off me if she wasn't.

Good news about the geas as well. Dimitri had hoped that the obligation to hospitality went both ways; it sounds like he was right.

Dimitri, dear boy, I am very very painfully aware that I am not a fighter like yourself and some others of our acquaintance.
I've you and Erin to call upon if I need it, and to be perfectly frank I don't plan on leaving the cottage for the foreseeable future.
I'm as safe as can be for the moment.

As for bracing, the phrase as I know it is 'hope for the best, prepare for the worst'.
We do him no good giving in to despair before we know it's fruitless.

This isn't home. And the people who've been taken are ... their bodies are still here. Maybe they can still be saved. Maybe the other passengers can be, too.
